The warehouse is divided into two main areas: the storage zone and the buffer zone. Compared to conventional stacker crane-based ASRS, Botro mobile racking system requires only a single aisle within each storage section, significantly optimizing space utilization.

The mobile racks are remotely controlled via a Warehouse Management System (WMS), which automatically calculates the optimal retrieval path and opens the required aisle. Equipped with versatile three-way forks, the overhead crane robots can adjust their angle flexibly, allowing them to pick up and store goods based on system-guided scheduling principles.The WMS assigns storage locations based on real-time demand and instructs the mobile racks to open specific columns for access. With a minimal aisle width of just 1.8 meters, the overhead crane robots can efficiently perform both inbound and outbound operations. Once goods are transferred to the buffer zone, the WMS coordinates with unmanned AGV forklifts to handle external transportation, completing a seamless and fully automated workflow.
