The recently completed mobile racking project at a Zhejiang warehouse marks a significant step forward in optimizing storage space. Facing the challenge of storing diverse goods within a constrained 55m x 30m (1,500 sqm) footprint and a 4m clear height, the client prioritized maximizing storage density.
With a vast inventory requiring substantial capacity, traditional racking proved insufficient.A state-of-the-art mobile racking system, expertly implemented by Botro-Racking. This system dramatically increases usable space by eliminating multiple fixed aisles. Racks move laterally along tracks, creating a single access aisle only where needed.
A unique challenge arose from structural columns positioned centrally within the warehouse. Botro-Racking ingeniously designed a dual-aisle layout to accommodate this obstacle, effectively splitting the floor into distinct Zone A and Zone B. Zone A houses 7 mobile racking columns, while Zone B contains 5, resulting in a total of 12 highly efficient mobile sections.
This tailored configuration ensures optimal space utilization around the columns, seamlessly integrating the system into the existing structure. The result is a transformative increase in storage volume, directly addressing the client's core need for significantly higher pallet positions within the same 1,500 sqm area. The project successfully delivers a future-proof, high-density storage solution perfectly suited to the warehouse's operational demands.
