Light duty shelf for spare parts

Introduction of the client company:

The client company is a wholly owned subsidiary of SANMINA Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is the world's premier diversified and international electronic product contract manufacturer, headquartered in California, USA, with a registered capital of US$100 million, mainly producing trade automation series products, developing related software, processing and manufacturing printed circuit board assemblies, electronic system devices, providing electronic product design, manufacturing and sales and other related services; products involved in personal computers, aerospace industry, defense systems, semiconductor telecommunications, automotive, medical and entertainment facilities and many other fields.

Warehouse features:

The total racks are Height 2m and Length 10.55m, which means they use almost the entire available warehouse space to store as many spare parts as possible. The racks are very simple and also help to manage spare parts quickly. The reason for this is that they provide direct access to the products, which facilitates storage and picking up tasks. The warehouse manages roughly 2,000 different SKUs and in order to control the movement of goods and avoid errors, each item is stored in a plastic drawer attached with a code as a unique identifier. In this way, they can be found more easily when they are needed.

Shelving:

Due to the company's requirement for light load capacity of each level, we choose boltless shelving(light duty shelving) and make these shelves in the same colour with the plastic drawer for a more uniform and attractive look. A large number of important spare parts are stored here, so it was essential for the company to protect them. In this respect,we used perforated steel panel instead of normal steel panel in this project , which is useful for fire fighting work while keep good load capacity.
